Itinerary

 

Day 1: ARRIVAL YANGON (Dinner included)

Welcome by our tour guide upon arrival at Yangon International Airport. Transfer to hotel and take a few hours for refreshment. Dine at local restaurant and overnight in Yangon.

 

Day 2:  YANGON - KYAIT HTEE YOO  (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner included)  

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Kin Pun “base camp” (194km-5hours). Kyait Htee Yoo, the Golden Rock Pagoda, a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaves stands precariously on the edge of a cliff. From Kin Pun base camp, take an open truck which is compulsory through a steep winding11 km road which leads to the upper staging point. From the “upper area”, travelers must at present walk the final stage, approximately 4 km up-steep paths, which ascend some 500m to the Pagoda platform. As an easier alternative to walking, visitors can be carried in sedan chairs by four porters at an extra cost of approximately US$ 26 per pax. Lunch at local restaurant en route or at base camp. Enjoy the beauty of sunset or dawn over the mountain ranges from the platform of Golden Rock Pagoda or from hotel. Dine at Hotel Restaurant and overnight at Kyait Htee Yoo.

Day 3: KYAIT HTEE YOO - BAGO- YANGON (Breakfast / Lunch /Dinner included)

After breakfast, descend from Kyait Htee Yoo Pagoda. Proceed to Bago. Sightseeing includes “Kanbawzathardi Palace” the famous palace of the Emperor of the Second Myanmar Kingdom (1551-1581 A.D). Proceed to Shwemawdaw Pagoda, originally built by the Mons to a height to 23 meters in the 8th century and was rebuilt higher several times until it finally reached its present 114 meter statue in 1954. Tour continue to sightseeing including the 55m long reclining Shwe Tha Lyaung Buddha Images, one of the country’s most revered. Sightseeing Maha Klyani Sima ordination Hall and Mahazedi “Great Stupa” offering panoramic views. Extend visit to Kyaik Pun, four gigantic Buddha images all in sitting posture facing the four cardinal points of the compass, built by King Dhamma Zedi in 1476 A.D. Lunch at local restaurant at Bago. After touring at Bago, return back to Yangon. Upon arrival, visit the most magnificent and spectacular Shwedagon Pagoda before the sun set and enjoy the beauty of Stupa while it changes the shining of gold in different tones according to the radiant of the setting sun. Dine at Karaweik Palace Restaurant with cultural show. Transfer to hotel and overnight in Yangon.

Day 4: YANGON DEPARTURE (Breakfast /Lunch included)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Botataung Pagoda and sightseeing to the city centre including City Hall, Maha Bandoola Park, Independence Monument.  Shopping at Bogyoke Market (Scott) Market with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores. Lunch at local restaurant. Shopping tour to Treasure Land Gems & Jewellery Shop and Min Thiha Gems & Jewellery and Souvenir Shop. Proceed to Another Huge Sitting Marble Buddha Image, Lawka Chantha Abaya Lahba Muni meaning Buddha blessing the whole Universe, being healthy, wealthy and free from danger. From there, a few metres away, visit the house of the three Royal White Elephants.  Then, transfer to International airport for departure.

Travellers to Myanmar are required to have travel insurance. Visas are required by all visitors to Myanmar. A visa must be obtained before entering Myanmar. European and Thai Food are available only in Yangon. Vegetarian, Indian meals and Muslim Halal meals shall be organized on request. Scott Market is CLOSED on Mondays and Gazetted Holidays. Please be advised that the check out time at all hotels is at 12:00 pm and check-in time at hotel is at 2:00 pm.
