4D3N North Vietnam Mountain Scenic Route



Day1: Hanoi/Laocai

Day2: Laocai/Sapa

Day3: Sapa

Day4: Sapa/Laocai/Hanoi - Departure






Take the night train to Laocai (departure at 21.55). Transfer to the station by taxi paid by yourself.


Day 2: LAOCAI / SAPA (B/L/-)
After a 10 hours ride, arrive in Lao Cai, a small border town by the Red river. Pick up and breakfast in the local restaurant in Laocai. Then leave for Bac Ha (70 km) via a winding road with breath-taking mountain views. Visit Bac Ha fair (on Sunday only), considered the liveliest and crowded in the region. It attracts a large number of Flower , mong and other hill-tribe groups (Nung, Phu La, Tay). It is no doubt one of the most attractive places for photo hunters in Vietnam. - Or travel up to Can Cau (90km) via a winding road with breath-taking mountain views. Visit Can Cau fair (on Saturday only) with hundreds of Flower mong gathering and trading farm products and colorful clothing in natural surroundings - Or leave for Cocly and visit Cocly fair of flower Hmong minorities (on Tuesday only). Take the boat trip on Chay river until Bao Nhai. Back to Lao cai, then continue an interesting trip to Sapa ( 38 km). Nestling on Fansipan mount, Sapa offers spectacular scenery and is home to different hill-tribes. O/N in Royal view hotel (or similar) in Sapa.


Day 3: SAPA (B/L/-)
Take a morning trek (6km) to visit hill-tribe villages of Lao Chai & Ta Van along picturesque Muong Hoa valley. A trekking trail is over magnificent rice terraced fields, green valley, river and white roof-dotted houses by mountain sides. Get an insight into the daily life of local people (Black mong and Day), their ways of living and simple working tools. Lunch in the Giay family. Continue trekking to Giang Ta Chai. Back to Sapa. Overnight in Royal view hotel (or similar) in Sapa.


Day 4: SAPA / LAOCAI / HANOI (B/-/-)
The morning is leisure to wander around Sapa with hundreds of Black mong and Red Yao gathering. Socialize with the tribesmen and enjoy bargaining for unique souvenirs and shopping for delicate embroideries and batik at Sapa fair. Climbing the steps to Mount Ham Rong with a panoramic view of Sapa is recommended. In the afternoon, transfer to Ta Phin village, see Red Yao & Black mong at work in their distinctive colorful dress. Socialize with the villagers, wander around villages (2km) and get to know their simple lifestyle in harmony with nature. Transfer to the Lao Cai railway station (40km). Return to Ha Noi (370km) by railway. O/N on board. Arrive in Hanoi station at about 5.30 next day. End of our service.
