Day 1. Hanoi - Ha Giang (B/L/D)
Today we spend our time driving to Ha Giang city - located 280 km North of Hanoi. This little town is where we stay overnight, preparing for our great photography trip in the coming days. We have lunch on the way and arrive at Ha Giang town around 3.00 pm. Check in our hotel then we spend our afternoon taking photos of the local community located outskirt of Ha Giang.Overnight in Ha Giang town.


Day 2. Ha Giang - Yen Minh (B/L/D)
Today we drive early to Quan Ba - a little town set amid pinnacles. We have our breakfast here before exploring the towns market where once a week, people coming from the nearby mountains would bring their chickens, pigs, cows and a vast variety of mountainous products for sale. This is a great opportunity for us to witness the lives of these mountainous tribes. We spend our morning taking photos in this market before lunch. In the afternoon we drive to Yen Minh - a small mountainous town locates 50 km from Quan Ba. Here,if time permit, we take a tour of the town and its outskirt. Diner and overnight in Yen Minh.

Day 3: Yen Minh – MeoVac (B/L/D)
Today we rise early for our great discovery in one of the most beautiful and colorful markets of Northern Vietnam - Mau Due market. This is one of the biggest tribal markets with so many opportunities for us to capture. The market is attended by a great number of people coming from many different tribal groups. After the market of Mau Due, we head back to Yen Minh where we will have our lunch. In the afternoon we drive to MeoVac - a nice town in the middle of the rock formations. Diner and overnight in Meo Vac.

Day 4.MeoVac - Dong Van (B/L/D)
Today we leave our hotel for the market of Lung Phin. This market is held once a week and it is one of the biggest in North Vietnam. After our morning shooting at the market we walk further into the local town of Lung Phin and enjoy shooting the old and well-kept architecture of the town. We later drive back to our hotel for check out. After lunch at a local restaurant we head for Dong Van, which has recently recognized as Vietnams first geopark and the second in the Southeast Asia to be named Global Geopark Network (GGN) member.In the afternoon, after checking in our hotel, we leave for a big architecture - the house of the former Hmong King - built during the French colonial time. We visit the house then walk into the community near the house. Diner and overnight at Dong Van.

Day 5. Dong Van - Pho Cao - Ha Giang. (B/L)
Today we rise early in time to capture a beautiful market near Dong Van - Pho Cao market. The market is set among beautiful pinnacles where once a week the local people would cross the mountains to reach the market to buy, sell their tribal products or just to socialize with other group of people. After the market we walk into the local community near Pho Cao - home to some distinctive local Hmong house and we will capture more daily lives of the locals. Our lunch today is special, its prepared by a local Hmong family. After lunch we drive back to Ha Giang, stop on the way for any photographic opportunities. Diner on your own. Overnight in Ha Giang.

Day 6. Ha Giang - Ha Noi.
Today we drive from Ha Giang straight to Hanoi. We reach Hanoi in mid-afternoon.

1. Accommodation The tour takes place in the far moutainous regions of Vietnam. Best accommodation available are small hotels, equivalent to 2 star standard. Laundry may not be available at every hotel. 2. Meals Best restaurants in town serving Vietnamese food are picked up for our meals. 3. Physical requirements Market Hunter is a moderate pace tour. However, long drive and early rise are expected at some points. 4. Gears Momentlives suggest you to carry these equipment along: A DSLR camera body. Best to have two bodies in case one goes malfunction. Two lens: A wide one (such as Canon 17 - 40 mm or 16 - 35 mm) and a tele one (like the 70 - 200 mm). Lens should have UV filter.
